Handasa Arabia is currently an Internet based organization that aims to support the electronics innovation and research in the Arab world. It was established in late 2002 by three Arab engineers to support the innovation and electronics design industry in the Arab world by:

• Establishing a community of volunteer engineers world wide
• Supporting the open hardware concept and projects and introduce them to the world
• Cooperating with world wide engineers to develop new technologies
• Transfer knowledge to Arab world
• Support the establishment of Educational and Commercial projects
